Frequently asked questions

The inburgering (civic integration) exam is required for most non-EU immigrants who want a permanent residence permit or Dutch citizenship. It tests Dutch language at A2 level and knowledge of Dutch society (KNM). You have up to three years after receiving your residence permit to pass it. Geert's inburgering course is built around exactly what the exam requires.
The MVV (Machtiging tot Voorlopig Verblijf) is a provisional residence permit for people who want to come to live in the Netherlands from abroad. Before you can apply for an MVV, most people must pass the basic integration exam (basisexamen inburgering) in their home country. This exam tests basic Dutch at A1 level and some knowledge of Dutch society. Because the exam is taken abroad, Geert offers fully online preparation lessons, so you can get ready from wherever you currently live.
